New ladies Gaelic football editor
We are absolutely delighted to introduce Niamh Murray as our ladies Gaelic football editor.
Nobody gets to the levels Niamh has reached as a footballer and musician without being a grafter.
Having met and interviewed Niamh on numerous occasions I know the grapevine has made the correct choice. I am absolutely delighted that she said yes.
She had said yes to the role a while back, but I didn’t want to cause any distractions for her while she concentrated on the All Ireland semi final.
I spoke with Niamh soon after the game, Niamh needed no consolation.
She was upbeat as always pardon the pun.
She said straight after the game to me
Kilkerrin-Clonberne have won 10 Connaught titles in a row and we were not far off them.
The Galway girls joined the Clann Eireann girls for a nights craic and told the Ulster champions. That they expect to see them win All Irelands soon.
And yes we were away talking football again, two mins spent on her role.
She simply said whatever needs done I will do it. That sums her up as a footballer a musician and a person.
Just an honour to have her on board.
