What a scoop for Lurgan and the grapevine !
Conleth said that his category was a close run thing and out of 51,000 votes cast he was fairly sure the grapevine votes mattered.
Jaden won ‘Personal Trainer of the Year’ and Conleth Kane won ‘Entertainer of the Year’ at the GNI Magazine Awards.
Last week I had that very bad flu that’s going around.
At short notice I heard that the two guys were up and that voting closed in two hours.
In general I don’t like to have posts with links on to other sites and publications for various reasons.
However the GNI magazine is the go to and trusted magazine for the lgbt+ community in NI and it’s not a competitor of this page.
I got the post up.
Conleth Kane has been on the phone to tell be that he was fairly sure his category was won by a fine margin !
So yes without being boastful myself I can say that, you the grapeviners did push him over the line.

Conleth recognised Jaden from the grapevine and the only two lurgan men up for awards were able to celebrate together.
When I was talking to Conleth on the phone he told me the grapevine had created a community, I was very proud when he said that but yes I hope the page is Literally a “lurgan grapevine. “
I also had a laugh with Conleth about the time me and Magee Gaelic football team, were told on our first visit to magee gay night, thirty years ago in the Magee bunker, by a gay fella that it was a
GAY night not a GAA night lol
that was it ice broken !
Just like this page not just being all GAA lol The guy then said the night was for all and we were all back after we won our all Ireland quarter final.
I digress Conleth said the whole thing was crowned off by him being able to have a celebratory dance with his mum Cilla.
I’m so buzzing about this Jaden and Conleth well done brilliant stuff.
And I thankyou both for the scoops just like us GAA lads enjoyed the one pound scoops and the great music that night lol
