Clann Eireann are safely through to another Ulster final.
Several times Clann Eireann where 9 and 10 points clear but it always looked like St Ergnats posed a threat.
The visitors Aoife Kelly from Ergnats impressed number 12 for Ergnats Cliona Griffen looked to have the pace and power to do damage if allowed to run direct at Clann Eireann, she was brilliantly marshalled by Roisin Mulligan who nipped many of the joint moves of kelly and griffen in the bud.
Ergnats where a physical fast running team and Clann Eireann defence stood tall in holding on to the lead built up in “the scoring goals” down the slope in the first half.
Ergnats seemed to have to work the ball a lot closer to goal to find scores.
Clann Eireann could hit from distance, with Niamh Murray hitting a booming first half effort from distance,
Clann Eireann could work it in or go long range and St Ergnats were kept guessing.
I think this is an improved Clann Eireann team from last years Ulster winning team, Several youngsters including Cassie Henderson have came in this year
Clann Eireann could bring young fresh legs on in the second half to bring relief to heavy legs on a draining soft pitch.
Player of the match Niamh Henderson was perpetual motion driving runs from start to finish a real captains performance as Clann Eireann managed the game out.
The home side were probably right to show caution late on as St Ergnats showed the punch they looked like they were packing in the last ten minutes.
As this Clann Eireann side continues to improve there is definitely another Ulster there for them if not more…
