Aoife boxes for the Armagh Amateur boxing club but she had plenty of support from Gilford ABC and the lurgan clubs today.
A lot of local coaches from different clubs contacted in January to tell me she should have had the decision in her all
Ireland fight then. She clearly should have won the fight. Aoife was so distraught at the obviously unfair decision she was going to quit the sport.
Instead
Well a wee bit like the Armagh team Aoife let the unfair decision drive her on to All Ireland glory this year.
Proud granda Brian and great uncle Jimmy Creaney were there to see her doing the business.
